The work Jellychutes I is part of the series Jellychutes (Paradusas) in which toy paradise soldiers (popular in the 80s) are represented using jellyfish as parachutes.
The pop surrealist piece, hand-painted with acrylic on linen canvas, depicts a plastic soldier doll gently descending with the help of a jellyfish acting as a parachute.
The image, playful and vibrant at first glance, contains a deeper message: the ocean—symbolized by the jellyfish—must resist and survive the growing threat of plastic pollution. A delicate visual statement that combines aesthetics and ecological awareness.
Ideal for contemporary art collectors, lovers of contemporary surrealism, and those seeking a piece with its own identity that will stand out.
The Jellychutes series was exhibited at the contemporary art fair Just Mad 25 .
