Digitalization in the lab
Each original piece from El Espacio Permanente is digitized in high resolution at a professional laboratory in Madrid with the aim of preserving every minute stroke and detail of the artwork and faithfully respecting how it was conceived by the artist.

Professional Digital Treatment
Subsequently, the laboratory, leveraging its technical expertise, conducts the initial digital treatment and makes the first adjustments to ensure the quality of the finish and image.
Artistic Treatment
Once the artwork meets the reproduction quality standards of the laboratory, the creator revisits the piece, this time in digital format. Editing, layout, and even adjustments to lighting, color depth, and blacks are all part of this stage of the process aimed at enhancing the artwork and achieving an aesthetic and harmonious finish.
Color Testing
Once the composition is defined, the final artwork returns to the digital laboratory for the initiation of the ultimate color tests and layout adjustments. The aim is to ensure that all the previous steps will be reflected in the final print and to proceed with the selection of the medium, in this case, paper, on which the limited edition works will be launched
The Importance of Paper Selection
The choice of paper, the raw material, is fundamental for a reproduction to attain artistic value in its own right.
All works from El Espacio Permanente are reproduced on papers within the Digital FineArt Collection; a line of exceptionally high-quality FineArt Inkjet papers owned by Hahnemühle, a prestigious German manufacturer since 1584. These papers are natural white, made from 100% cotton or cellulose, without optical brighteners, and free of acids and lignin. They feature an inkjet coating specially optimized for FineArt printing.

These artistically pure papers offer optimal reproduction of color contrast, sharpness, intensity, and brightness, as well as the depth of the artworks. They are also certified by independent laboratories as papers resistant to aging for over 100 years. That's why artists use them for displaying their works in museums, art collections, and long-duration exhibitions.
Paper Weight
The paper's density is another criterion of extreme importance to consider since consistent weight enhances the value of the artistic piece. All works from El Espacio Permanente are printed on paper weights exceeding 200gsm (grams per square meter), reaching up to 350gsm, giving them substance and elevating the piece.

Production and Delivery
Once the series of artworks is produced, the laboratory and the artist conduct a joint review and proceed to create the laboratory's authenticity certificates and limited edition certificates, including all relevant information and the serial number.

Artistic Intervention
Finally, the artist manually intervenes with each piece of the series, using the same materials that were used in creating the original. This can include refining outlines, adding intensity to shadows with graphite, or repigmenting a detail, thus establishing a direct connection between the artist and the image.
Limited Edition
Each piece is special and genuine from its conception to production, and in keeping with this essence, all artworks are available in very limited global editions.
The value of the artisanal process in the digital age
Each fine art print at El Espacio Permanente is born from a meticulous process that blends traditional craftsmanship and professional laboratory technology. From high-resolution scanning in Madrid to the artist's final manual intervention, every step ensures that you receive a faithful, museum-quality reproduction. The work begins with the original work: graphite, ink, watercolor, or mixed media created in the studio. Subsequently, a specialized laboratory captures each stroke through high-resolution scanning, preserving nuances barely perceptible to the eye. This professional scanning process differentiates an art reproduction from a simple print. Color proofs are crucial. Sofía Cristina Jiménez personally oversees every color adjustment to ensure the final print respects the original intention. The choice of Hahnemühle FineArt paper with a weight of 300-350 gsm is no coincidence: its 100% acid-free cotton composition guarantees aging resistance of over 100 years, the same standard used by international museums. The manual artistic intervention distinguishes these limited editions. Each print receives direct touches from the artist: contours, shadow enhancement, and hand-pigmented details. This artisanal process makes each numbered piece unique within its own series of 50 pieces. Purchasing art with this level of care means investing in authenticity. You're not just acquiring a decorative image, but the result of a collaboration between the creator and the technical laboratory, backed by limited-edition certificates. Accessible contemporary Spanish art without compromising quality or exclusivity.
