The work
A work on linen canvas, featuring a central, tonal stain on a sandy background. Through the study of light, the ostrich Baby appears to be situated in a corner illuminated by a powerful light, yet thanks to the shadows, it also seems to extend beyond that light, suggesting there is no true corner.
The series
Series inspired by the phrase "Nobody puts baby in a corner" from the 1987 film Dirty Dancing.
Each animal is based on an animal, placing it in an imagined corner.
All pieces have painted and finished edges, so they can be hung directly on the wall, or left standing without a frame.
Materials
