 The work

 A work on linen canvas, featuring a central, tonal stain on a sandy tone. Through the study of light behavior, the Baby Ostrich appears to be situated in a corner with a powerful light illuminating it. However, thanks to the shadow, it also appears to project beyond the corner, so there is no real corner.


 The series

 Series inspired by the phrase "Nobody puts baby in a corner" from the 1987 film Dirty Dancing.
 Each animal is based on an animal placed in an imaginary corner.

 All pieces have painted and finished edges, so they can be hung directly on the wall or left freestanding without a frame.


 Materials

 The work is finished with the finest painting materials available: Belgian linen and Liquitex pigments. This ensures the work's durability, resistance to the passage of time, and color retention.
