Buying art shouldn't be any more complicated than buying anything else that matters .
In fact, it should be simpler, because when someone decides to hang a work of art in their home, they are making a decision that goes beyond the functional aspect.
That's why El Espacio Permanente has built a purchasing system that eliminates friction and provides peace of mind. This guide explains exactly how everything works, with no fine print.
The most common options are accepted:
⚡ Bizum (ideal for quick purchases)
💳 Credit/Debit Card/PayPal (via secure gateway)
🏦 Bank transfer (for those who prefer the traditional method)
🎁Gift card (the perfect gift for art lovers)
For purchases between €120 and €2,999 , it is possible to split the payment into 6, 12 or 24 installments via PayPal (subject to customer approval and eligibility).
⚠️ Important: This service charges interest. The APR is 17.99%.
Real example with a €700 work:
How does it work?
1️⃣ Add the work to the cart
2️⃣ On the product page, click on "Pay in up to 24 installments" to see your options
3️⃣ Select PayPal during the checkout process
4️⃣ Choose the number of installments you prefer (6, 12 or 24)
5️⃣ PayPal will show you the exact total cost before you confirm.
6️⃣ Complete the purchase with the first payment
7️⃣ The remaining payments are made automatically each month

It's a practical option if you prefer to spread the cost. The exact interest calculation will depend on the amount of your purchase.
This is the best option if you want to buy an original without paying a penny more.
✅ 0% interest (you pay exactly the price of the artwork) ✅ No intermediaries (no third-party fees) ✅ Flexible schedule tailored to you ✅ Artwork reserved throughout the entire process ✅ Shipped upon completion of the final payment
📌 Real example: Original price of €2,400
💶 Admission: €400 (reservation)
📆 6 monthly payments: €333
💰 Total: €2,400 ← Same price. Zero interest. Zero fees.
💡 Quick comparison:
With PayPal (12 installments): you would pay ~€2,550 (+€150 in interest)
With a personalized plan: you pay €2,400 (exactly the price of the work)
How does it work?
1️⃣ Contact us here to express interest in an original
2️⃣ A convenient payment schedule is agreed upon (monthly, bi-weekly, as you prefer)
3️⃣ You make direct transfers, without fees
4️⃣ The artwork is reserved exclusively for you throughout the entire process
5️⃣ Once the full payment is completed, it is shipped with professional packaging included
This option allows you to acquire original artwork by building a direct relationship with the artist, without intermediaries taking commissions. It's the most accessible, honest, and economical way to buy original art.
If you'd prefer to pay for an original sooner but need a few days to get organized, you can reserve one by leaving a deposit and arrange the rest of the payment according to your schedule. No pressure, no rush.
Shipping is free throughout Spain (Peninsula, Balearic Islands, and Canary Islands). There are no surprise shipping costs at checkout. The price you see is the final price.
We have included optional extra insurance if you want double the security.
We ship worldwide. For destinations outside of Spain, a custom rate is calculated based on the country and the size of the artwork. To inquire about shipping costs to any location, please contact us for a free quote within 24 hours.
Each work – whether print or canvas – leaves the studio with professional conservation packaging :
Sheets: plastic protector, cardboard box, reinforced bubble envelope.
Originals: cardboard packaging, corner protectors, bubble wrap, fragility markings
The Permanent Space has shipped artwork to the United States, the United Kingdom, and Germany. There has never been a problem in transit. Packaging matters, and it's done well.
For large-format original artworks in Madrid, hand delivery is possible if preferred. This is the safest way to transport a 120x120cm piece: no intermediaries, no risk of damage during transit, and the opportunity to discuss the artwork if desired.
Each original artwork or limited edition print comes with its own signed and sealed certificate of authenticity . It includes:
Title of the work
Year of creation
Technique and materials
Dimensions
Edition number (in the case of plates)
Signature and official paper seal
It is the guarantee that what you are buying is exactly what is described.
Limited edition prints: 30-day return policy if you're not satisfied. No awkward questions asked. Return the artwork in the same condition you received and receive a full refund.
Original artwork: We generally do not accept returns (for security reasons). However, if any issues are detected upon receipt, such as damage in transit or defects not visible in the photos, the matter will be resolved immediately and a full refund will be issued. For any questions regarding the return of original artwork, please contact us.
These are not "facilities" in the formal sense, but they are the most important part of the process:
If you have any questions about which artwork works best in your space, whether you're considering a print or an original, or if you're unsure which size to choose, feel free to contact us . There's no need to buy anything to receive advice.
Often people write with a photo of their wall and ask, "Would this look good here?" And the answer is always honest. Sometimes that means saying, "That size is too big for that space," or "Actually, this other piece will work better."
The goal is for each buyer to find something that truly works for them, not to buy quickly.
The photos on the website are designed to accurately showcase the artwork, but it's perfectly understandable that you might want to see more. You can request any additional photos you need : details of texture, photos in natural light, photos in artificial light, measurements taken with a tape measure alongside the artwork, and photos of the piece from different angles.
No commitment. No limits. Until I'm sure.
If you prefer to see the artwork in real time before purchasing, you can schedule a quick video call or send videos via WhatsApp . The piece will be shown, details will be explained, and questions will be answered live.
It's especially useful for original works, where the texture of the acrylic and the finish of the canvas are difficult to capture in a photograph. Five minutes of video calling can provide much more clarity than ten photos.
For those who buy a print and don't know how to frame it, advice is available. We can tell you what type of frame works best, what color passe-partout to choose, and whether or not you need glass.
If you buy an original print and aren't sure how to hang it (especially large formats), help is available. They can recommend different installation methods or explain how to do it yourself if you're handy with a drill.
It would be more efficient to simplify: sell only by bank transfer, do not offer payment plans, charge for shipping, do not answer pre-purchase questions.
But efficiency isn't the goal. The goal is to make buying art accessible not only financially (that's why prints exist), but also emotionally.
The idea is to make someone who has never bought art feel comfortable doing so for the first time. To let them know there's someone on the other end who will respond, help, and understand that this can be daunting.
And so that the person who has been collecting art for years knows that here things are done right: with professionalism, with guarantees, with care.

That's how direct it is.
If after reading all this you still have any unanswered questions about how to buy art online, you can contact us here . There's probably something we missed, and it's better to ask than to remain in doubt.
Art is meant to be enjoyed, not to complicate your life. And buying art shouldn't be either.
