It gets lost among a composition of photos and other works,

like an inherited portrait of an ancestor about whom you know nothing.

Or perhaps it presides over a bare wall because its story is capable of filling it entirely.

You decide the level of ascendancy of Sir Catto II.

• Pictured here is Sir Catto II , a Namibian meerkat in golden tones.

A unique piece painted in acrylic on linen canvas.

The work

A regal portrait of a globe meerkat. Through the study of the behavior of light, the figure appears to have golden metallic glints framed by a deep blue background.

The series

This new series aims to evoke old portraits full of solemnity and history in which fauna reigns supreme.

Each portrait is worked on independently, based on the physiognomy of real animals, so each one involves prior study and analysis, making each piece an extremely unique work.

Against backgrounds of intense colors, and in a light and harmonious format, each animal possesses a unique and special personality, leaving its level of ancestry up to your choice.

• Nature: Ascendants and Descendants , is a continuation of the Plastic Nature series, in which animals become helium balloons, adopting a new perspective and elevating fauna to an aristocratic category.

All pieces have painted and finished edges, so they can be hung directly on the wall, or left standing without a frame.

Materials

The artwork is created using the finest available paints, including linen and Liquitex pigments. This ensures the piece's durability, resistance to the passage of time, and color retention.
