💡What do you think? Is there a body or not? … the uncertainty…

The work

A hand holds a thread. It pulls upwards, slowly.

Below, a figure sits in a chair. It is wrapped in esparto rope, turn after turn, from its feet to its head. The hand is untangling it, freeing it.

But when you follow the line of the arm down, there is no wrist.

There is no body that can complete that hand. So the question changes:

Is there a body beneath the esparto grass, or are there only knots that trace the shape of a body?

The uncertainty

This work speaks of that: of not knowing. Of having clues but also doubts. You see the woman's body wrapped in esparto grass, but the hand untangling it leads nowhere. Is there something beneath the ropes, or is it just a shaped tangle? Is someone helping you untangle yourself, or are you pulling on a thread that leads nowhere? Sometimes you can only wait. Wait for the outcome .

The ending, like unraveling or disentanglement, is also a resolution to uncertainty.

The poem

The sheet includes the poem written in pencil at the bottom:

"Is there a body?"

or are they just turns,

entanglements

and esparto grass knots?

Sometimes,

All that remains is to wait.

This support guarantees ideal durability and texture to preserve the richness of every artistic detail.

The 350-gram thickness provides remarkable strength, much more robust than ordinary paper (80gr thickness, and ordinary cardboard thickness 200gr), offering a superior visual and tactile experience.

Ideal for those who value an artistic presentation that lasts and looks impeccable, whether framed or displayed directly.
